It refers to the number of related survey passes that can be reviewed together. A response appearing across adjacent lines is easier to recognise as a continuing subsurface pattern rather than an isolated anomaly.

Does e-Safe replace an electromagnetic cable locator?
No. e-Safe adds GPR-based information to an established utility-avoidance process. It should be used alongside suitable locating methods, records, site assessment and verification.
Can e-Safe detect plastic pipes?
GPR can respond to plastic and other non-conductive targets where sufficient electrical contrast exists between the target and the surrounding ground. Detection cannot be guaranteed in every site condition.
Does the operator need to interpret radargrams?
e-Safe is designed to process the radar response and provide a practical likelihood indication instead of requiring conventional radargram interpretation. Operators must still understand the system’s purpose and limitations.
